My Bowerbird fascination

I have been amazed for years by this bird and its unusual nesting and dating habits.
Living on the Southside of Canberra, I have been fortunate enough to have the female bowerbirds visit my garden. Occasionally I catch a glimpse of a male satin bowerbird and have hoped it might choose us for his nesting sight, but I guess our garden doesn't have the goods :(
A friend had a beautiful bowerbird nest hidden in her front garden. The opening faced North-South to make sure it showed the best lighting and the blue objects were perfectly positioned, it was a masterpiece!
(Although a little saddened by the abundance of plastic items in the nest)
Inspired by this work of art I did a little research and have created my own. Thank you bowerbirds, you are wonderful!
